Update on Defective Midway 6.5 Swede Barrel

Thought I would let everyone know, after talking to Thompson Center about the defective bore on a Midway 6.5 Swede, I sent the barrel back.

Friday I received a call from T/C, and they related that they were replacing the barrel and were just waiting on the 6.5mm Blanks.  :)

Years ago, I had a early model Contender, and suspected that it had stretched.  Sending it back in resulted in a very prompt replacement with a new Frame.

You can not ask for more, I would give T/C a 5 Star rating on "Customer Service". 

I Will keep the forum up to date has to how the "New" one shoots when I receive it.

STILL waiting Bill how is it shooting I am thinking  about getting 1 also what kind of groupes ???

T/C's customer service for me has also been EXCELLENT in all cases in which I've used them.

I'm still waiting for the replacement barrel.  TC was waiting for a shipment of 6.5 barrel blanks.  I will probably give them a call next week if nothing shows up this week.  I knew it would be a bit of a wait as this is a special run barrel for Midway.  Deer Season is not until September, so I have plenty of time...   ;D

SweetWyomingHome talked me into getting a 308 Heavy Barrel that Grafs were running specials on.  ;D...  So I will have that to play with while I wait on the Swede.  It should be here tomorrow.

Will keep the board posted on the Swede when I get the replacement back.
