How many of you guy's use a Bubba Rig for Crappie???
A Bubba rig is a 7-1/2 to 8 foot MH casting rod with 20-25 pound Big Game or fluro. line. I use fluro., my buddy uses Big Game. You put a 1-1/2 ounce sinker on the end of your line(on a short 10# leader). Come up 2 feet with one hook, then another 2 foot with a second hook or jig, on 6 inch tag lines of 6# fluro. Tip the jig or hook with a "MINNER". Drop the line straight down into the heaviest cover you can find. Then hang on.
All my friend's laugh at me when they see my Bubba Rig. But at the end of the day they all want to borrow it. I read about this rig a few years ago. I forget where I read about it, but it really does work. That big sinker will drop that line right into the boiler room. Just make sure you are directly above the thickest cover. You would be surprised how little you hang up. Tom.
