I would like to tell you that the grips don't matter as the piece is held securely in my hand via sheer centrifical force from the speed of my draw coupled with the action of thumb cocking and/or fanning.
I have been laid-up for a while so it is easy for the imagination to soar unless I have the 1860 army & .36 navy on me
In reality, while I can really appreciate one set of grips over another, It can still take me some time to get used to the overall feel and to re-acclimate that fine edge of the sight picture.
Sometimes poor folks can have poor ways but yet learn to work with what they have and become very proficient. Others will go through a half dozen guns and a dozen grips trying to find the right niche
but often end up in pure frustration.
I am not saying Do Not Make changes but rather to give your current setup a chance. If you do make changes, now is a great time for a lot of us as we will have all Spring/Summer to work with them.
