I'm looking at buying a 2004 Yamaha Bruin 350 4x4 Auto Camo.  I was hoping someone could shed some light on this model for me.  The unit is clean and has been well maintained/garaged, adult ridden, etc.  I'm looking for something to use for hunting and trail riding.  I know Yamaha made some changes in 2005.  Anything worth noting?

Any input is greatly appreciated.

I bought a 2003 Bruin used in 2004.  I use it to hunt, trail ride and around the farm.  I have not had one moments trouble with it.  The only thing I wished that it had was an odometer or hour meter.  They have them aftermarket but I have not installed one yet.  My brother in law has had 2 polaris's bought new and has had to have them worked on several times.

As I understand it the major change in 2005 was the independent suspension, I think that was the year.

Best of luck!!

I own a 2006 Bruin and it has been rock solid.  The only thing I've done to it is oil changes and gas.  I have the 2wd model and I've never needed the 4wd either.  I've been through some nasty stuff too.  If it's that bad you can always drive around the mud holes.  The 4wd are harder to steer in my opinion and more moving parts to break.  Other than that, it's a good atv.
