Another real chance to hunt in the snow....!!!!!!!!!!!!
« on: March 07, 2008, 03:28:53 AM »
As I live and breathe I think Mother Nature has afforded me yet ANOTHER Friday afternoon snowfall, so I can hunt coyotes in the snow on Saturday morning...........I know I keep banging this drum...but around here in SE Missouri , where snows are as scarce as hen's teeth.....we just LOVE the way snow gives you a visual advantage ....when out in the field hunting coyotes.   The MAN is predicting 5 to 7 inches.....so any movement will stick out like a sore thumb......I just got to remember that includes ME as well.      Wish me luck.....hopefully pictures to follow........

You could hunt in the snow here now too, but I`m in here on the net. With the snow and wind here now visibility is low and the coyote are all holed up. Maybe tomorrow will be better, I hope.

You could come up here just about anytime between November and April and hunt in the snow.  That doesn't necessarily rule out the 4th of July.  I don't imagine you'd get enough use out of them where you are, but snow camo helps.  Good luck in the snow.  Wear your woolies.
Keep both eyes open and make the first shot good.

Conditions were ideal, a bit windy, but a good 5 inches covered just about everything except the tall leftover corn stubble...still , not a 4 legged critter in site....hundreds and hundreds of ducks...but no coyotes.....I did use some white as a breakup....have the light stuff that goes over everything else...still nothing.....and today it's 50 ....all gone now....oh well...maybe  nest time.....those dogs are hard to figure
