Ben, a guy I talked to on another site uses this method here in Florida.
He writes up his hunting and shooting resume with his name, address and phone number. He adds a listing of how long he has hunted, what courses he has taken, and what organizations he belongs to. Then he prints it up along with the Sportmen's Pledge, (see Below) and drops them off at the farms in the area he wants to hunt.
Very often the farmers will give him a call and invite him to hunt on their land since he has been so professional about asking. It's worth a try for you.
And if you don't mind, let me know how it works because eventually I'm going to do a little hog hunting up in GA too.

I will not hold the land owner liable for any injuries I may incur while hunting on his lands.

I will not make a claim against the landowner for any reason including, but not limited to: physical injuries, loss of wages, or loss of life.
I will not hold the landowner liable for any damage to my vehicle I may incur while hunting on his lands.
I am 100% liable for my own vehicle.
I will not shoot at any game animals if cattle are present.
I will not shoot in the direction of any buildings or homes.
I will not invite friends or relatives to hunt on this land without the specific permission of the landowner.
I will not light any fires.
I will not trespass on any neighboring properties.
I agree to obey the orders and directives of the landowner(s ).
