I am building a .458 SABI rimless nitro express on a original obendorf standard action, it is a new proprietry cartidge from sabi rifles in ZA. It launches a 525gr @2400fps and a 550gr @2250fps, with a possible 500gr @2550 if you are so inclined. My first hunt will probably be a Kudu or Bluewidebeest in May 2004.
Barnes makes a nice 600gr premium bullet the 458 make your choices so wide. The 450gr barnes ex might even be a big bore springbuck rifle hehe!
Just think of all the load development, hmm, intresting.
