First group - 6.5X55 Swede
« on: April 21, 2008, 02:10:57 PM »
A few weeks ago I bought a Rem. 700 Classic (1994) 6.5X55 on Gunbroker.  I took possession two weeks ago tomorrow, slapped a Sightron 4X scope and "bubble-pack" Weaver bases/rings on it.  Today I shot it for the first time. I took 4 shots to dial it in after bore-sighting.  This is my first 3-shot group from the bench at 100 yds.  I am very happy.  Seven shots and numbers 5, 6, and 7 go into 0.57" with factory ammo!

Not a bad showing for Hornady factory ammo, either!

Very nice & it will likely get better with more rounds down the tube.
