Chat Going Well-- 9:00 PM EST Meetings

Chat is going well. There seems to be regular use after 8 PM EST with some lively discussion. Its informal and a pleasure to meet and discuss guns with new folks with similar interests. Response time is pretty good too.

The chat room is alive and well, there are just some folks that can't use it due to a software glitch, it's been posted in the News box for a week now, 12 members used it today, the 5 members listed below are in it right now.

BIG accomplishment for this neanderthal.


PLUS, the member I chatted with (Abner) gave me a tip on another bit of technology I plan to investigate.
Few weeks back I taught myself how to put text, numbers, circles, arrows and such on photos and draw simple illustrations on PhotoShop.
I'm smokin' now!  ;D

And "No", don't anyone ask what  I'm smoking. >:(

MSP Ret just a suggestion that might even help figure out why some folks are banned. Why not try to register again here with a slight veriation of your current user name. It really can be as simple a change as closing up the space between MSP and Ret as the server will recognize that as a different name. You'll have to put in a different e-mail address of course as the server will not allow two members to have the same e-mail address.

Then try chat with that new name. If it lets you in that would give Matt some useful info to maybe eventually solve the why of folks being banned. If it doesn't then that too might be helpful to him. Plus it might allow you to participate since you seem to want to.

Since I was in the banned list too I did that the other night and now it works for the secondary account. I sent Matt a PM from that account so he could check things out. For now if I want to use chat I will just login with that account I guess, I won't be posting from it or reading except if Matt or someone sends me a PM there.

That's kinda what I suspected might happen. That means most likely that there is something messed up with the accounts of folks getting the banned message. WHAT is the thing Matt will need to try to figure out. From time to time something seems to get corrupted with a person's account and he has to go in and fix it to alter some weird thing going on. No clue why or how but usually he has been able to fix it for them in the past but of course all that has been forum related. At least you guys now have a work around to look at to use chat until he figures it out.
