Hello all. Fishing out of Corpus Christi,Tx. I am used to windy conditions most of the time but this low water in our Laguna Madre has me baffled;I simply can't remember when it was this low.Look at any pier, piling, etc.and you see at least 2 ft.of dry barnicles and the like where the water has receded. It is rather aggravating because I am a lure-thrower and many of my favorite flats are un-fishable. However,on the upside I have learned to use dead shrimp in channels bordered by shallow flats for limits of reds and drum on every trip but I still feel funny going into a bait-stand and asking for two pounds of dead shrimp, like a tourist! Does anyone in this area know what the cause of the low water level is? I would really like to know. Kix
