Update: Need to verify Model and Value of this Rifle.
« on: August 30, 2003, 06:17:57 PM »
Need help identifying a .22 rifle.  It is a single shot break top action, with set triggers, octagonal barrel, Monte Carlo stock and has the following markings on the side of the barrel.  JGA (in a circle) followed by 155.  On the side of the receiver it has what looks like proof marks of a crown over a "B" over another crown over a "U".  This same crown-B-crown-U is also under the barrel by the breech.  The area under the breech also has the following stamped on it, "5.3%".  The rifling is very strong also.

Update:
Since first posting I found out this is what appears to be an Anschutz "Rook Rifle", but I still need someone to verify that for me.  If it is then I need someone to let me know what it is worth.  I will post a photo if I can figure out how to do it on this board.

Phil

Hope that worked.[/url]

Phil to post a pic click the IMG* button copy and paste the properties of the pic and click on the close tags colored in blue under the URL button. You have to save your pic in a photo saving place on the web to be able to post it. I use Sony Image Station you can find it by doing a search it is a easy site to use. It would look like this after you put your pics in a photo storage area right clicking on them will give you the properties at the bottom of the pop up win and click on properties and copy the URL and paste.   Hope this helped Jim
Said I never had much use for one, never said I didn't know how to use it.
