chipped Thumbhole

First off let me start with yes Im an idiot. I was putting some loctite on the bolt from my camo lame t-hole stocked 35 whelen. It kept loosening up.
I had the bolt started in the reciever. I was turning the stock to save 2 mins . Well the stock hit the reciever . I ended up with a inch long chip. Basicly I peeled up a layer of wood. What I did to fix it was squirted some polurithane under neath the chip & pressed it back together. Let it dry for 4 hours then did a couple thin coats over the top. I gotta take some fine sand paper to it. But it looks OK.
