30-30 load

Was not sure if I should have posted this here or not but this is Contender related.
I Just got some reloading equipment and was looking at dies for my barrels
A question came to mind about 30-30 dies,
Since most 30-30 rounds are for a lever action will regular dies work on pointy bullets for my Contender?

 That IS a good question! I have been using MINE for about 15 years with out any problems. I use them for several different CAST bullets also. As long as you aren't damaging the bullets' nose ,you will be OK!

What dies are you using?
or anyone else that is loading pointed bullets?

I don't think it will matter which dies you buy.  I hand load for my Contender .30-30 using an old set of Herter's dies.  I experienced no problems loading Sierra 125 grain SP bullets.

Call RCBS I beleave they will send you a seater for SP bullets for free.

I just got into it myself, and I started off using an old set of RCBS dies without the aforementioned replacement seater plug. I had no problems with heavier bullets, but I personally found when I was using smaller grain bullets such as 110 grain spitzers or 125 TNT's, I lost up to three cases in every fifty.
You said you needed to buy dies, I came across a brand new set of Hornady new dimension dies with a floating seater for $20 and change. For the price I'm very content, I don't know if anybody's had a bad experience with Hornadys.
For the RCBS, I'm going to order the replacement part as well so I just looked at their website:  you best bet is to call RCBS Customer Service at 1-800-533-5000. their website was not particularly helpful for this topic

I've been having a lot of fun with mine, I'm sure you will to.

I loaded 125 grain PSP in my .30-30 and spent $12 on a special seating punch from Lee so that I wouldn't smash the Pointed Soft Point.
