Smithing work
« on: March 25, 2008, 01:54:29 AM »
Ok I got bit by the H&R snake and got me a 45-70 so I can use some more lead.  But what I need now is a smith that can do a trigger job on it and mount a good sight on it.  John Boy suggested I get Perdosoli 3inch and mount it back on the stock area.  And the it should be milled out and centered.

So who would you suggest I send this jem off to that will do the job and do it right.  I believe the rest of the work I will be able to do to float the barrel and etc.  Its the milling and trigger work I will not attempt.  I have a motto, I make them dirty and I clean them.  But I leave the rest to the experts.  I do it on my pistols and I will do it on my rifles.

Thanks

Welcome Craig!  One of our members, Handirifle, sent his BC to Lee Shaver to have  a long range sight installed, he added a false tang and mounted the sight to it. I'm sure he could do a trigger job also, many members here have done their own following instructions in the FAQs and Help sticky which would be a good place to spend some time. ;)
