G2 Is Moving Up

I shot my G2 22 in USBR Sporter class last week. Came in second with a 218 out of 250. This was using a Weaver 6-20 scope set on 20. I'm going to mount a Weaver T-36 and see what happens next month. By the way, I changed from Wolf Match Target to Eley Tenex ammo.

Nice shooting.  What is the price difference on the ammo?  What do you practice with?

I have used Wolf Match Target for practice. In my area Wolf MT is going for just short of $5.00/50. The Tenex was about $19.00/50. I use from 30 to 45 rounds per target.

Beautiful ammo.  I've always wondered what kind of magic they do to the stuff, but they sure make us pay through the nose.  I once thought that I'd like to get into this form of competition, but I decided that handloading for me is part of the fun.  I just plink anyway.  The minute I think that I'm getting good, the real shooters show up :-\.

I got into rimfire benchrest thinking of the low ammo cost compared to center. Shows how good my thinking process can be. I do get a kick out of using the G2 against the rifles. Makes the others sweat a little.   ;D
