Barrel accessory program question
« on: March 22, 2008, 06:50:36 AM »
In February, i purchased my first Handi rifle and quickly sent it away for an extra barrel.  After a few weeks I called to make sure it had been received and processed.  It had.  It's now been about a month and a half.  Is this common or should I follow up again?

Also, in the future, if I decide I want yet another barrel, do I have to send the rifle in yet again, or do they keep a pattern on record so I can just call and order another one?

Thanks.

The normal fitting time is 6-8 weeks, but lately they've been much quicker, but if they're out of the barrel you want, you'll have to wait until they get it in stock. Did you ask if the barrel you ordered was in stock? I've waited a lot longer than that for every barrel I've ever ordered, so don't be disappointed at this point.  ;)

Hello VThunter, you will have to send in the frame every time you decide you have to have another barrel.
The cost difference between a barrel for the Handi and other single shot switch barrel guns, is worth the wait to me.

I just sent my SB2 in for a .357 barrel last month and was pleasantly surprised at a fast 2 week turn around. It could well be that it was in stock though as mentioned above.
There are some who call me... Tim

I just called to add another barrel to my order.  The customer service rep said the delay was due to the fact that Marlin now rifles the barrels and they were waiting for the barrel to come from them.

Excellent customer service from H&R, btw.
