data info. 357max
« on: March 23, 2008, 05:37:05 AM »
hey guys, i just traded for a 357 max carbine barrel, which is great in just shootin 38s and 357 mags last weekend at anywhere from 50' to 200yrds,man the sons and I sure had a blast.   well i found some max. brass at midway and i got an array of powders but none of my reloiading manuals have the 357 max. in them as I haven't  needing to update my manuals as until now i've not had a reason!!!!!!!!! well i looking for data for (357 maximum : 158 gr. bullet & 180 gr.bullet) mainly the 158 grain as i'm sure it would do well for woods deer hunting here and it would also be a flatter trajectory. my daughter is planning on using this t/c carbine since although she likes shootin her boyfriends 30-06 and she can pretty well off bench, but the rifle is too large and heavy for her, and she out shot he brothers with this one.   thanks fellows..... HAVE A GREAT EASTER!

Check Hodgdons web site , they list data for the .357 Max for 110 through 200 grain bullets with H110 and H4227 powders .

http://data.hodgdon.com/cartridge_load.asp

Also the Lee Modern Reloading 2nd Edition should have data too .
