Are 2-way radios legal to use while hunting?
Any references to regulations, interpretations, or laws would be appreciated.

You can use them to keep in touch with your hunting partner"s"
You just cant use them and be like, Hey man! I got elk all over the place up here, git up here!
That would not be legal.

The guys I hunt with just use the radio as a safety tool. In the past establish check-in times and the radio is turn off Stray transmissions could mess up a hunt so I prefer to leave it off. When rifle fire is heard in a distance we will turn on our radio’s to monitor a help call from a hunting partner.
We might modify our operation with the use of Rino radios and the ability to track another Rino radio. Our families are starting to get concerned with our hunting trips because of age.
