Need help with TC Hawken
« on: April 26, 2008, 11:12:08 AM »
My neighbor has a TC Hawken that he inherited and someone had taken it apart before he got it.  The problem is that it will cock but will not fire.  You can pull the hammer back and then pull the trigger to get the hammer to come down.  Could any post a picture of the inside of their lock so we can see if it was assembled properly or if there is a piece missing?  Thanks

Does the rifle have two triggers?  If the rifle has two triggers and you are only pulling the rear one you are just setting the front trigger.  There should also be a small screw sticking down between the two triggers.  I don't have a TC Hawken so I can't take a photo of the lock for you.  If you have a computer with DSL or Cable you can download the owners manual at    http://www.tcarms.com/assets/manuals/current/Shooting_TC_Side_Lock_Black_Powder_Guns.pdf

If the hammer falls but only goes to the half cock position it is because the fly is missing or it is in wrong.  Ron
