I have looked through a good number of threads regarding the new 357's and 44's, but I couldn't find any answer to this question. Do the SB1 rifle frames have a large shotgun firing pin or a smaller firing pin such as the SB2's have? The reason I ask is because I have a 20 gauge shotgun and a 357 barrel. Combine this with a little time on the lathe and I think I could have a stubbed 357 for a lot less than what H&R wants for a new 357. The only concern that I have is the issue of pierced primers with the large shotgun firing pin. But if all they're doing is putting a 357 or 44 barrel on a shotgun frame, then I'm all set, I think. If there are other potential problems, please let me know.
Thanks for your help.
