2nd New Tikka
« on: January 08, 2009, 01:26:04 PM »
Picked it up today. A Stainless T3 Lite .223. I like it! Sold off a Savage 12FV 22-250 with a BVSS stock and the scope that was on it in order to be able to get this one, have no regrets. I'll post pics later after the VX-III 4.5-14x40AO arrives and I get it mounted in the DNZ low black mounts. The black stock should compliment the black mounts and matte scope and set them off nicely against the stainless finish of the action and barrel.
I've got Federal AE 63 gr., Federal Premium 55 gr. Sierra Gameking, and Winchester 45 gr. JHP ammo to try in it so far.

Like 'em! But I've never tried anything else for the Tikkas, lot of the guys use Warnes and Talleys. I like the DNZ alternative because for fifty bucks I'm set......mount and rings, and it's a one piece.

The DNZ are the way to go. They make a great product for a great price.

Do the DNZ mounts offer "long range" ie...built in 20 moa model? I own two Tikka's one in .223 and one in .243 and I use the EGW Picatinny 20 MOA rail on both of them. A bit overkill for what I use the rifles for (coyote hunting) but like to preserve the elevation adjustments of my scopes.

Take care,Stan

PS...here are my two Tikka's and my TRG-22.
