Shipping a C&B revolver

Can a C&B revolver be shipped by the U.S. Postal Service?
If not what is the best way to ship one?

Just call your post office and ask. I used UPS once several years ago to send 2 of my pistols to be smithed,and while I do not remember the  exact cost. I do remember that I could have bought a new pistol with the ammount it cost to ship my old ones.

It would be best to look up the BATF rules for your self for your particular state and the state you are shipping to. You should find that most states allow shipping of original and reproduction m-loaders with no restrictions. You do NOT have to tell the post office what is in the box. I tell you this because most post office employees do not know the rules and if "firearm" is mentioned they will not ship it. I once tried to ship an antique bb gun in a T/C box and they had a fit, took it home put it in a different box and then shipped it. i once tried to ship an Antique blunderbuss that I had received in the mail the week before. The clerk spent 1/2 hour going through the firearm rules then the last paragraph said "ANY FIREARM OR REPLICA OF A FIREARM MADE BEFORE 1898 ARE EXEMPT FROM ALL RESTRICTIONS" She than called her boss at the main post office and he told her not to ship it, I went to the main post office to confront him and he said "an anitque? Sue I can ship it, she didn't say it was an antique"........
