I have an older style 21" .223 that was re-chambered from a .222. I dont have a clue what the twist would be on this older barrel. I am mostly curious as to whether it would handle a variety of bullets in the 222 Mag. It seems to me that the long barrel with the extremely hot rechamber should probably have a slower twist. Any thoughts? Pro/Con? Does anyone know what the twist would normally be on a 22-250, or what a 222 mag AI would have for twist in a barrel that was designed for it?
