I was at Dick's Sporting Goods about a month ago and they had a Remington SP there and the clerk told me that it was made especially for Dick's. It was similar to the ADL with open sights and the stock shape, although,I can't remember if it had a floor plate or not. I know the old ADL's didn't.Actually, the stock was the worst stock I had seen on any rifle. You really had to look hard for any grain and the wood to metal was very poor class. Now,I am not bashing Remingtons because I have a bunch of them but that rifle would have never left the plant if I was QC.
