Tru Oil On The Versa Pack

My daughter and I refinished the pallet youth stocks I got for her Versa Pack. She is 9 years old
and picked out the stain herself (minwax red oak). She helped me sand off the old finish and stained
the stocks herself. I helped her with the Tru-Oil. We laid down 12 coats on it. This was my first experience
with Tru-Oil, I like it! I can't wait to squirrel hunt with her next fall.

I've heard lots of good stuff here about Tru-Oil so I decided to try it. I'm a believer now, I'll
definitely be using it on my next project.

doublebass -- How is the accuracy of your daughter's Versa-Pack .22? I just bought one, fitted with the plastic stock. Your daughter's sure does look nicer with the straight wood stock! You two did a wonderful job, and your daughter now has a memory she'll cherish her entire life.

I can't wait 'til the weekend -- I'll be at the range at 0800 when shooting starts, with plenty of ammo! The child-size stock is in storage, awaiting grandkids' reaching the age when they can start learning. Meanwhile, Gramps has an old wood Pardner stock fitted, and intends to threaten the local squirrel population this coming fall. Until then, no paper target or pop can is safe!!

Thanks db22, I had a great time refinishing the stocks with my daughter.

The accuracy is decent considering the rear sight isn't the greatest. I plan on putting
a Williams WGRS peep sight on it which should make it much better. These guns are very fun to shoot!
