I've been reading about metal dectors trying to decide what to buy. The Titan 3000xd pro looks interesting. The same mfg that makes bounty hunters make them if I understand right. Also the mine labs look interesting. Which ones under $500 or so would work well for treasure hunting. Thanks, Byron

If you get the Minelab XT70 you have a coin machine and a prospecting machine. The used ones can be got for around $500.00 and they are a really good machine

Yep, the Xterra 70 is a great machine. You can go to findmall and search the classifieds there, they normally have a good selection. If you cant find the 70, the 50 is a good one too.
