12 gauge barrel scope mounting?

I just bought a used barrel from a fellow on this board and it is a great looking barrel.

I would like to put a red dot on it but it looks like there are only 2 holes where the normal 4 holes for the mount are.

Anyone else have this problem?

It is a 12 gauge 3" blued barrel with interchangable choke tubes.

Far as I know the only scope mount that will fit on it is the shotgun scope base from TC don't try to put a normal scope base on it the screws are to long and will break through the barrel into the bore. The other holes the base uses, are the ones the rear sight  is screwed into.
