I heard a story from a logger I worked with about one of his Dad's choker setters sticking a choker (cable snare used for picking up logs out away from the landing) on a sleeping grizzly's leg. The guy running the crane didn't know what he had until it was too late to let the bear down so it could get loose, so he brought it on in and dropped it on the landing. That bear hung out up there most of the day, madder than all blazes, looking for someone to turn into muddy mincemeat for the indignity.
