870 CHOKES?
« on: March 16, 2009, 04:30:24 PM »
I have a Rem 870 with an 18 inch barrel cylinder bore. Can this barrel be threaded to accept a screw in choke?

Hmm, I've never heard of such a request. The barrel metal near the muzzle might be 2 thin no?

Its probably too thin but you could take it to a gunsmith and find out for sure.

Improper classified ad removed. This is NOT a classified forum. Graybeard.

For the price of a gunsmith to do that, it may be cheaper to pick up an used barrel at a gun show or in the Classifieds here at GB. Atleast that way you'll have 2 barrels.
