Need to know quickly, a 22 hornet is a sb2 frame isn't it

Got a chance to get one at a good price but have to travel to see it and get it.

It could be,BUT it could be a older(H&R) and in that case the factory will not fit any other barrels to it ,however if you are just looking for a 22 Hornet  go for it.   Doug

Look in the FAQ and look at the pictures for an SB2 and SB1 frames. Also look at the letter codes for year manufacture. If you follow these guide lines, you can't miss.

I've got an older one and love it.  Its my 100 yard rabbit gun and I  rarely miss with it at that range or closer.  I jokingly named it my "ventilator"  I paid $80 used for it about 1992.  Some of the best money I ever spent, at the rabbits expense.
