Bedding with Jb Weld?

What do you guys think? Saw a website where a guy bedded an Enfield and used Johnsons Floor Wax on the action to get it off. Is dried JB Weld similar to bedding compound? Ive always wanted to try bedding and I've got alot of JB Weld so ya know...

I've not tried JBWeld but have used the stuff. It's likely a bit harder than good bedding compound and less able to take shock, but that's just a guess. As for release compounds, I prefer wax to the moose snot Brownells includes with their bedding compound.

I have used J B to bed several rifles either johnsons wax or shoe polish works great as a release agent. Make sure to fill any gaps that could act as a hook with clay or wax.

Any paste wax works well. I've Boston floor polish and it works.  Don't buy the JB Quick, or you'll quickly find out why.  Slow setting stuff is best.  It takes time to get everything together, even when you do all the prep work ahead.
