What Is The Value of A "Used" Pre-G2 Contender Frame?
« on: May 08, 2008, 02:32:14 PM »
Anyone know the value of a "used" but nice pre-G2 Contender frame only?

Is there any place on line where we can check a Contender frame serial number and determine the date of manufacture?

Thanks, Dave

At the top of this (TC Handguns) forum there is a post that always stays on top marked "T/C Handguns FAQ and forum rules. Please Read before posting"  It contains a link in the FAQ section to a chart that lists manufacture date by serial number.

I bought one at the gun show from ed for 140.00 with butt grip he also had a frame only a little newer for 180 that may give you some Idea. Think of it this way if you have to pick up a barrel for it they go in the range of 135 to 180 and then a set of nice grips for say 50 you are in the range of a nice used compleat contender or for  another 125 you have a new g2. I have seen used contenders at shows that were priced 200 more than a new g2. best to educate your self on going price. sometimes what looks like a bargan cost more in the long run than new but I guess that is the good thing about the forum we try to educate each other.

Bought one used in 2007 which would rate about 95-98% with Pachy gripper for $135
