Magnum Research Lone Eagle
« on: July 25, 2008, 04:36:32 PM »
I don’t know a thing about these but have an opportunity to buy 2 frames/7barrels in these calibers

22 Hornet
22-250
243
260
36-06
44 Mag

All with 16 inch barrels

Are these a good well built accurate Handgun?

Also is there a place here to advertise the x-frame and five barrels I do not want?

Thanks gw

I don't know a lot about them.  What I've read for the most part in magazine articles and on the net seems to say they were pretty decent for the money.  I wouldn't hesitate to pick them up if the price is right.   There is a classifieds forum on here where you can list the other parts that you don't want.

I had a Lone Eagle in 308 Win., it was a well built pistol and shot MOA with it's prefered loads. The only thing I didn't really like about it was the trigger. There isn't much you can do about it because of the design except to get used to it.

GOOD SHOOTING!

Thanks guys! I never tried the trigger and am glad you brought that up!

Not sure about the classifieds, all I see is the T/C one? Forgive me for my ignorance but is that what you are referring too?

I have several Lone Eagles. I think they are a great gun. The trigger can be polished but you still end up with a long pull. It is very manageable but far from the glass rod breaking!

Scroll down through the forum listing, there's a "General Classified" in the last section.
