Any bears out?
« on: March 16, 2008, 08:13:19 PM »
Any of you guys in the anchorage bowl, or valley seen any blackies around?  We have waaaaayyy too much snow down in seward for them to be out yet, but with the lack of snow and warm weather in the valley... you never know.  I'm going to be in wasilla for a couple of weeks, and wondering if bringing my -06 might pay off.

Snow is melting very fast down here, but still no black bear activity.  Surprises me because of how warm a few days have been that they haven't been rousted.... but being as there is still much snow up high, I'm not too surprised.  Should be any day now.

Squirrels are SOS this year (shoot on sight) we had one get into the garage.  Bad move on the squirrels part.
