Rev Jeremiah Wright speaks....

  As I post...the National Press Club..has just finished asking a a series of "softball" questions of Jeremiah Wright. For anyone with a small smattering of knowledge
   of history and theology, he has batted about -10%...
   First off, no questions were allowed from the floor; obviously he could not handle that..so the NPC pampered him with "prepared" questions. Even with that kind of
    kid gloves treatment, he blew it.
   Asked about how we deserved the 9/11 attack..he did not apologize or take back his words, but accused the US of "terrorism"..

   He did not even apologize for his famous (or infamous) curse,  "G-- D--- America"...in fact, there was no apology or retraction of ANY of his hateful statements.
  As I see it, his answers were all, much twisting of history and Scriptures...

   I was particularly surprised after all his whining about being "taken out of context"..when the questioner inquired as to whether Muslims were saved and going
   to Heaven. His Reply was to quote John 10:16 saying; "Jesus said, 'other sheep I have that are not of this fold' ". (ignoring the rest of John ch 10)

      And HE whines about being "taken out of context"..

         I predict that this may drive a nail in Obama..unless he disowns the "Rev"..

     BTW: For any non Christians, when Jesus said in John 14:6 , "I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one cometh to the Father, but by me".    Please read it in context and
     discover that Muhammad is not mentioned ! In fact, Muhammad is not mentioned anywhere in the Bible...

While i was gone to lunch i was listen to the news, can't remember who but they ere saying
they believe the rev. is in it now for the money and will be no end to his talk shows. If
i heard all this right he got a multimillion dollar home in an affluent WHITE neighborhood ( why
not near the church) and a $10 million line of credit for his retirement. He seems to me to be be a tad racist.

What really worries me is if Obama gets the Democrat nomination and then wins the Prez job. I could care less about Rev Wright, buts its Obamas association with him that does. I think Obama is a racist.

Don't be judging him by is skin color, you need  to  judge him by his character. Now what you just said is just as bad as what Reverend Wright said. I'm not afraid of Obama's skin color, it's his  character that scares me. If you are a Christian, you should not be saying that word. Reverend Wright's words are coming from his heart, not his skin. The church I go to, we have black people coming to it.

  No S.B., that word is not used in the Bible..certainly not in the KJV ..which I generally use as the basis for research..

   I do tend to agree with Dr King on that point at least..a man should be judged "by the content of his character, rather than the color than his skin".
  Not a difficult problem with the "Rev"..his hate filled character makes the decision easy.

    BTW: in case some have not noticed..the "Rev"  probably carries little if any, more melanin component in his skin than many of us on this forum !

He actually said he will be "going after" Obama if he get to be potus, since according to the rev, Obama would be promoting terrorism as president. Wow, he hates every body and every thing except money. An incredible fool.

I have deleted several posts in this thread.  One for just plain ignorant inflamatory hate speech.  The others for quoting the hate speech. 

The offending post was for nothing more than expressing race based hatred, such hatred is not wanted here.

Because Reverand Wright expresses racial hatred, does not justify us lowering ourselves to his level.

I heard some thing interesting on the TV last nite, can't remember who said it but make for conversation
Rev. Wright keeps on with his redirick  because he does not want bama to be pres. If bama becomes
pres. then America has elected a Black man as pres. Then how can wright, sharpten, jackson and others
keep saying America is racist, would put some of them out of a job, seems like lots of planning to me but stranger things have happened.

Good call, double D.  We can keep it between the yellow lines and still make our points.  I hate the idea that because of any number of "correctnesses", we can't, or shouldn't use certain words, but that's just the way things are. 

It's easy to recognize the crudeness and prejudices of someone like the wrong Rev. Wright and that's all the more reason that we shouldn't lower our standards to his.  Just the same, a spade is a spade...nuff said.

I did not know Obama was a muslin. I'm going to have to research this one and get caught up.
