I don't want to bore anybody, but this is a blanket chest I made for my daughter. It is made out of sassafras lumber Carl L.

This is a little chest that I made for my granddaughter. It is made from curly cherry. The size is 25" wide-15" high-12.5 Deep. Carl L.

Does the large chest smelll like sassafras?

Longtom, Yes you can smell it real well when you cut it and sand. The smell goes a way a little after you put the finish on it.. Carl.

That's beautiful stuff!  I carved a ML stock outa Cherry and it came out really nice.  I see you left yours natural.  It's a real pain to stain!

Stimpy, I just do this for a hobby. I make stuff for family and friends. I am glad that you like the woodworking. I like to do woodworking like they did years ago. Carl L.


Atllaw, I just use tung oil on cherry. Cherry wood turns darker over time. Carl L.
