Bears and deer
« on: June 29, 2008, 01:19:29 AM »
We saw a bear this week, right up close to a house down the road. It had a young fawn in it's mouth. I missed a chance at a picture. I wonder how many fawns are taken by bears. This was a small bear, maybe 150 lbs. I have read that fawns do not give off very much odor, maybe a bear can find them. Is there an estimate on the number of fawns taken by bears in the state Shotgunner
