I do not think these bullet will be good deer bullets, especially from a carbine. These bullet are made to expand fast at low velocities and will fail totally if you hit bone, would be my guess. I would recommend you shoot these bullets at groundhogs and get some 240 gn. bullets for deer. Remember, your velocity will be acoulpe of 100 fps. faster a carbine than from a revolver. I would recommand a Soft Point bullet instead of a Hollow Point also.
