Does anyone remember the scene from "Quigley Down Under" showing the aborigines lined up on the skyline as far as you could see?   That needs to be US!

What type of platform are you shooting the 30 TC from, the ICON or Encore?

With the 30 TC, I would look at starting loads for the 308 Winchester data and work up from there, be extremely cautious of maximum loads.  You probably won’t be able to duplicate the 30 TC factory ballistics, because of special powder blends.  I would make brass from 308 Winchester, but again I try to keep all cost down.  I think the standard 150 grain bullet is perfect for this cartridge and 165 grain being about the maximum offering.

I traded a Rem. 700 even up for an Icon.  I don't need either but the Icon has nice wood & a 3/4" test target.  I've got a box each of 150s & 165s that I haven't shot. 

At first I thought I'd rechamber it to .308 Win. since the .30 TC is about .095" shorter than the .308, but then I found that the TC is a tad larger in the body.  It's close enough to work, I think but then the fired case would blow out several thousandths & when re-sized, the brass wouldn't last long.  Plus it just would not be right & that would grate on me.  Easier to just go with the .30 TC.

After I empty one of the cases I can compare the internal capacity to an existing cartridge & go from there.

Unless someone eventually develops some honest-to-God loading data for the cartridge.

Wow, you traded even a 700 for the ICON, sounds like a great deal.  Congratulations!!  You have a first of its kind T/C bolt rifle with a first of its kind T/C cartridge, you couldn't ask for a better pair.

Keep your eyes open for clearance sales on ammo to build up a good supply while you wait for new build brass by someone.  My guess would be Hornady would be first to offer it.
