Will a .243 cut it @300 yds ?

I'd like to know if a .243 using 95 and 105 grain bullets will knock down rams @ 300yds.  In NJ that's the longest distance they shoot. (reduced course)

It should work fine. The 105's will take our 500M rams most of the time here with full loads. You probably don't want full loads for what you're doing though. You will most likely tear up the close targets. Try to hold things below 2900 fps, and you'll have plenty of power but not blow holes in the chickens.

I assume you're talking Jackson. Yes a 243 is fine. Several shooters use them with 95 grain bullets. Rams are not a problem
