Israel will celebrate 60 years as a nation once again this month, think it was today, not sure. Bible prophesy stated it would re establish itself as a nation and would stand forever. It also says that this generation will not pass til the return of Jesus Christ. So, some of us alive in 1948 may witness his return. None is word for word, just memory. More fiction for some of you. Happy Birthday indeed!  The U.S. was the first to recognize the "new" nation, and we may have been blessed in the intervening years for doing so.  Now is not the time to falter in our support.  My father always has said, and I agree, this is why Harry Truman was born.  It was his greatest accomplishment.

Happy Birthday Israel!  God told Abraham: "And I will make you a great nation, And I will bless you, And make your name great; And so you shall be a blessing; And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed." (Genesis 12:2-3).  Isaiah prophesied it's rebirth in one day in Isaiah 66:8, a prophesy fulfilled on this day in 1948.  Praise God for His faithfulness to His promises!
