Firelapping Microgroove 22?
« on: May 10, 2008, 02:02:28 AM »
Would it be a good idea to  firelapp a Marlin  22 rifle?  It sure made a difference on all the other 22s I have done.

Thanks,

Crabo

I see no reason not to, the amount of metal removed is so minimal that even with the shallow grooves it should not do any harm.

Were the conditions of the 'other' .22's similar?

I agree.  A little polishing is likely not to hurt, may well help.
