MEMORIAL DAY.
« on: May 26, 2008, 04:33:27 PM »
Today we again went to Garnettsville cemetary, it borders Ft Knox. We've kind of adopted 2 soldiers, both civil war, both from the local area in KY. One union, the other confederate. We say a short prayer that they have now found the peace that they both fought so bravely for. The union soldier died in Lou about a year after he was discharged. Cant find when or where the confederate died. He was a captain and only 19 years old. To all of you who have served, or are now serving, I salute you and say thank you for your service. POWDERMAN.  :( :( :( :( :( :(
Mr. Charles Glenn “Charlie” Nelson, age 73, of Payneville, KY passed away Thursday, October 14, 2021 at his residence. RIP Charlie, we'll will all miss you. GB
