Got the new 7-08 today hope to shoot it tomorrow.  the other one is her .223 and it is a shooter it really likes the 50gr v max with 28gr win 748.  I have some 140gr rem. factory loads and some 145 speer boat tails a try tomorrow.  I have a new load for my 350 to shoot too so I may be busy at the range and sore Friday!

Remington Core Loct 140's shoot very well in my 7mm-08.

Good luck at the range.

I did not get a chance to go shooting yesterday, I have been battling a cold and my neck was real sore and I did not want to shoot anything with lots of recoil (the 350RM).  I'm feeling pretty good today I may call up my uncle and see if he'd like go shooting.

I got to shoot the rifle today, shot 1 3/4" with the factory cor lokt's  and 1 3/4 with my Speer 145 BT hand loads.  The point of impact between the two load was about 8" :o  I have never had that big of a difference in point of impact.  I'm going to go buy some cor-lokt bulk bullets and play around with this rifle this summer.

Careful, get it shootin' much better and the wife may need to try it for herself. ;)  Then you'll have to go get another one for yourself, they are laid back and pretty easy shootin'. 8)  DP.

my 30-06 is the same way  using IMR 3031 and IMR 4350 will get a 8" spread point of impact difference
3031 shoot high
4350 shoots low

Kinda bad it takes you from on the paper to off the paper, I was shaking my head winder why the hell I could not hit a large target a 100 yards but I got it figured out.  I'll make another reload and give it a try with the speers again and mess with col and maybe some different powder if that does not shrink the group down it will be some different bullets. I'm not too keen on the trigger pull, My hunting rifles have about a 2.5 to 3# pull and this has lime a 5-8# much stiffer than my rifles so I think my groups would be better if I had a trigger job done, all in all I pleased wit this rifle.

There's no reason to work with a trigger that heavy for long. ;)

Any smith can do one, they aren't hard to do, I've done a couple dozen of mine. If you send it right away, you might be able to have it done by H&R, but they're to start  closing shop this month.
