Cost for trigger job and to "slick up" the action?

I have Marlin in 44 Mag 1894CB and an 1895CB that I want to have "slicked up" and trigger jobs. I was curious about what others have paid so I could know what to expect.

Try this web site. Replace the trigger yourself and it will take you from a 7lb. pull to about2.5 lb. pull, it's well worth the money.

Grizz I appreciate the heads up about the wild west trigger. I have seen that in other threads as well. I just figured I was going to get the action slicked up as well I might as well let a gunsmith do the whole job. I have read of a lot of people doing this and can't believe I only have one reply. Oh well... I guess I will call around and see.

DRC charges 85 to smooth an action and 85 for their replacement trigger. If you ship them the gun they throw the gunmsithing in for free as far as the trigger goes.

Old Elk Hunter I appreciate the cost estimate. I called my local Gander Mtn and the gunsmith said it would cost between 100-120 for parts and labor. I thought about the Wild west trigger but since I can get the whole thing done by a competent gunsmith for only 30-40 more than the cost of the trigger I think I will go that route. I hope this info helps out someone else.
