Just picked one up today(used). I am very pleased with mine it is a stainless in 38 special. Such a difference carrying this compared to my ruger p97. shot 50 rnds through it with no malfunctions and very reasonable accuracy given the fixed sights and short barrel. Just wanted to hear peoples opinions and things I should look for.

I had two until recently, a SS older model and an Ultra-lite. No complaints with either of them and no problems from either. Best grips out there, in my opinion. I have a set of the Taurus factory rubber grips on my S&W 642. Never had a malfunction of any kind and the Ultra-lite was very accurate. Never used the locking mechanism on the UL and have no opinion on it either good or bad. Enjoy it. It should serve you well.

I used  to have one in stainless steel, bought it new in the late 90's.  Accurate and reliable, timing of 2 of the cylinders was off, steel was soft too, despite oil and grease the cylinder locking pin was making a channel into the frame when the cylinder was opened and closed.  Sold it off.

I have had mine for several years.  It is the lightweight model.  Have probably shot 500-600 rounds through it.  I've never had any problems.  It lives in my car a great deal of time.  I find it really reliable.

I handled a couple of those, seemed like nice little revolvers.  The timing seemed a little bit off on a couple of the chambers on the ones i handled. 

I ended up getting the 605 in .357... for the power, and just a great feeling little gun.

I just bought an UL last week. Have not even had a chance to get to the range. This will be my stay in the truck gun.
