Hi.I was looking around today and was wondering if anyone has used the 165gr lead 30-30 bullets they offer.
Or penn bullets 150gr fn 30-30 bullets
I am looking to load some for 30-30 for target and maybe deer or any other bullets you recommend.

I was shooting some "gift' bullets to day that weigh 165 grains. I am NOT sure if they are 311291's or the Lee copy. # of us took turns shooting 3 shot groups out to 150 yards with my Remington 30-06. a Harris bipod and a redfield 3x9 scope was used also.
35.5/ Imr 3031 and CCI primers. We had NO trouble keeping the groups under 4". Casting your own is the BEST way to get what you want!
I almost forgot the reccomendation for a bullet!  A 311291(RN GC) or the 311041(FN GC) will /HAS killed tons of deer, either or both will do.

I just may get into casting them ( someday)
but I would like to try some cast bullets out and get my feet wet first
and see how they shoot in the 30-30 win 94.
