question on shotgun barrels
« on: April 20, 2008, 02:29:50 PM »
This may be an old question, but I'm still new with NEF/H&R barrels and such. Do they still make vent rib barrels, and if so, do they offer them with screw in chokes? I'm looking for a turkey barrel, plain bead sights is ok, and was wanting to get a vent rib. Will I have to settle for a standard turkey barrel?

I just read the thread about the TDC barrel. Could you guys share any info on these?

The TDC has a 28" vent rib barrel w/screw in tubes, I have a 20ga barrel with a couple tubes, a Trulock .575" and an Undertaker .582", have a bunch of loads to shoot this week when the weather cooperates. It's also available in 12ga and as an accessory barrel.  ;)

Tim, what choke tubes fit the H&R/NEF ? I know you said you had a Tru-lock and an Undertaker, were these specifically made to fit the NEF/H&R or do they interchange with other makes/brands?

NEVER MIND I found it in the FAQ's ;) ;) ;D ;D

Winchester/Browning inv(not invector +)/Mossberg tubes fit the TDC barrels, I think that applies to all of H&R's barrels.

Has anybody had screw in chokes installed on an older SBI 20ga. barrel?  Serial number starts with NC so I think its a 1988 barrel.  I want to buide up a custom youth turkey gun.
