Barnes TSX
« on: October 15, 2006, 02:17:16 PM »
I am developing loads for my .300 WSM.  I am considering using the Barnes 165gr TSX.

Has anybody used this bullet on deer sized game?

Has anybody had this bullet fail to expand on deer sized game?

Thanks

I use the 165 gr. TSX in my 300 Win Mag, I have never recovered a bullet, but from the size of exit holes, I would say they expanded very well.

I have used them with my 30-06.it has taken 3 oryx down.all one shot kills.recoverd bullets expanded well and they penatrated well.nothing but good to say about them.Barnes recomends that you seat the bullet farther from the lands then other bullets.
my huntin rifle is safe from confiscation only while my battle rifle protects it.
