Digger and others,
Thanks for the info on Gene Sear's. I'm lucky with guns in OK, Ed's TC's is about 4 blocks from my grandparents house in OKC. I stop by and buy stuff every time I get to the city. I probably don't have to worry about going to build sandcastles... I'm in a unit that doesn't deploy, so if they want me they have to get my 2-star's approval and then, well, I'm over 20 so I can ask to retire at anytime if I want to. Doesn't mean that they will let me but... I do have options. So, if I can make it for next year do I HAVE to bring an HR/NEF? I was thinking that I don't have one but then I remembered that I have two... but 20 ga ultra slug hunters probably don't count as varmint rifles, huh? Maybe I could just bring pictures of them and then shoot my other rifles??? Digger... I see you are from DOO-RANT... gotta pronounce it right. I spent my first twenty years up around Tulsa with one year in Lawton. Then I joined the AF and still call OK home but have lived out of it longer than I lived in it. I hope to change that in about two years or so. Gotta wait for two of the kids to graduate HS here in Germany. I think if I make it next year, I would definitely win the longest trip award. I'd have to fly to the US, make it to KY (most of my guns are there) drive to OK, drop the family off in Walters and then drive back up to the panhandle. I just have to convince momma and the kids to wait until then to go on leave. The whole "no guns here" moniker came about due to being in Germany and being depressed because I didn't have my guns here and couldn't hunt. I took care of both of those problems so I guess I should change my name but I haven't been able to think of a good one that fits me that isn't already taken...
